Emery VS Carbon

Yesterday, August 28, we played carbon in Tennis at home. This is their first year having a girls tennis team so they only have like 8 or 9 girls. It surprised me that they were even going to have one.

Adri and I won our match. Our score was: 6,1 6,0. Everyone else that played won too, and their scores were similar to our. Not a big surprise, but it was still exiting to beat Carbon.

I'm exited to played them again. They just need more practice playing against more good teams. I'm sure they'll progress during the season.

Oh, as for our match at Granstville, we lost. They were a good team. We went to deuce every game. They just ended up winning the deuces. I'm not going to say the score because that ruins the whole thing. The scores make it look like they kicked our trash, but they really didn't. They just won the deuces so it made it look bad. They were really good, but I think we're just as good. I want to play against them at state for sure.

School and Tennis

Well, school just started on the 19 of August. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing right now. I'm trying to convince myself that it's a good thing, but we'll just have to see how well that works out. I love a lot of my classes which is a good thing. I really don't like having seminary 8th because I have to miss it a lot, but I love my teacher so that makes up for everything. I'm so glad that I got Brother Esplin. My favorite class so far would have to be French. I love the Coach Dean and the class!

My first tennis match was on the 20th of August. It went quite well actually. We had to go clear to Canyon View high school which is in Cedar City. Everywhere we go it seems like we have to drive three hours to get there. At least I have good friends on the Tennis team that make the trips so much fun. Adriane and I won our match. The scores were: 7,5 and 6,1. The first set we didn't do as well as we should have but the second set we kicked but. I'm glad that I have a great partener. Kaitlin Potter and Courtney Sitterud also won their match. I don't know what the score was but they did great. The singles on varsity all lost but their scores were pretty good. It's just the first match and I'm sure they'll progress during the season.
